Christian Dior‘s setting for the 2016 resort collection couldn’t be more epic: Pierre Cardin‘s famous “Bubble House”, perched on the cliffs of the French Riviera, and a spectacle in and of itself.
The Belgian designer Raf Simons presented his creations for Dior at the Palais Bulles in Theoule-sur-Mer. Gaining inspirations from the colours, textures and light of the natural world of Cote d’Azur, Raf Simons orchestrated a youthful collection that plays with both, abstract and traditional elements with bold colors and asymmetrical design.
The Palais Bulles was designed  by renowned hungarian architect Antti Lovag. Loaves’ designs are coined as habitology – it’s about going back to the roots of our ancestral habitat (caves, cave dwellings) with attention to the complexity of spherical and spheroidal rooms as constituted by the Palais Bulles. Together with Pascal Häusermann and Jean-Louis Chanéac he founded the Habitat évolutif movement, focused on creating biosphere, organic living environments.
