Milanese designer Alberto Biagetti and artist Laura Baldassari have reinterpreted well-known pieces of exercise apparatus as home furnishings.
With Milan’s Salone Del Mobile design week well underway, Alberto Biagetti and Laura Baldassari celebrate athleticism and the human body with their show of works titled “BODY BUILDING.”
Taking athletic staples – gymnasts’ rings, dumbbells, the markings of basketball courts – and reducing them to their purest forms, the pieces have been created by expert Italian craftsmen and reproduced in eye-popping colors.
The works also include a suitably muscular take on the adidas ZX Flux in collaboration with INNER, limited to just 14 pairs worldwide which are unfortunately not for sale.
STUDIOFORMA visited this years edition of Salone del Mobile in Milan. One of the highlights was the Supernova galactic light installation by Lasvit.

It magically transforms itself in both time and space, responding to the viewer’s movement by changing its form. The installation is composed of clear glass elements with linear texture that creates fascinating light patterns while moving through various angles.
Lasvit is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom contemporary light fittings, famous for bespoken glass installations worldwide. They operate several showrooms worldwide, from L.A to Hong Kong. The company headquarter is based in the Czech Republic.
You can encounter Lasvit glass and light installations in upscale environments worldwide, like in Tiffany & Co. Boutiques, Graff Diamonds Boutiques, Nobu Restaurants and some of the most prestigious, luxurious hotels like Beverly Wilshire, Oberoi or Peninsula Hotels, as well as in commercial buildings including Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Metro.
